Singer-actress Jennifer Lopez wowed fans and followers with her beautifully designed translucent dress on Wednesday during the first part of American Idol's season finale.

Although the public may have seen the best performances of the season ever, many attested that nothing was more stunning on the night than the 46-year-old judge's perfect ensemble of sparkling rings and earrings, black Tamara Mellon shoes, and a black Zuhair Murad sheer dress with beads and embellishments.

The outfit as a whole seemed to have matched the grandiose occasion, which was made even more memorable by the moving performances of finalists Trent Harmon and La'Porsha Renae. Lopez said that the two finalists were both "amazing people who have overcome a lot." She further acknowledged that both Harmon and Renae had "so much going for them" so the battle to win the American Idol title will definitely prove to be tough and bittersweet.

"They're so very different. They're both privileged voices," continued the Let's Get Loud singer, adding that both Harmon and Renae are great in their own rights and both seem to emanate emotional stories when they sing.

Harmon, 25, impressed the crowd with his version of Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes 1972 hit If You Don't Know Me by Now; while 22-year-old Renae went for Rihanna's Diamonds in honor of her love for her daughter.

The final nights on Thursday will reveal the season's grand winner based on people's votes across the United States. Lopez is set to perform her latest single Ain't Your Mama on the episode finale. The event will also be graced by former Idol alumni such as Kellie Pickler, Katharine McPhee, Jordin Sparks, Kelly Clarkson, and Carrie Underwood.
