Reality TV star Bobbi Kristina Brown's husband, Nick Gordon, was arrested for driving under the influence and crashing his vehicle into a fire hydrant on the morning of August 28, Thursday, in Roswell, Georgia.

Aside from driving under the influence, police have also discovered that Gordon's license was already suspended.

Preliminary reports from the police show that Gordon tried to change lanes, hit a curb, and flipped, which caused him to crash into the fire hydrant. No injuries due to the accident were reported.

Brown was not in the car at the time of the accident. Despite the massive damage on the vehicle, which rested on its roof, both Brown's best friend, Mason Whitaker, and Whitney Houston's former ward, survived the accident unharmed.

Three issues were charged against Gordon by the police: DUI Less Safe, Failure to Maintain Lane, and Driving With a Suspended License.

Gordon was brought to the Roswell Detention Center for custody.

It was not the first time for Gordon to be detained. He was arrested for speeding and reckless driving in 2012. He was also arrested for pulling out a gun to stop a fight between Brown and her ex-boyfriend.

The couple have been raising controversy since 2012 after announcing their engagement, as many believed that Gordon is Brown's adopted brother. The late Whitney Houston thought of Gordon as her son, whom she raised.

Houston never formally revealed whether or not she adopted Gordon, but he always referred to her as 'mom'.

Brown have had her own vehicle problems, losing control of her car outside her complex. Her new Camaro was completely destroyed.

Her father, Bobby Brown, was also involved in driving under the influence. He was arrested numerous times back the late 1990s. In 1996, he was involved in an incident while intoxicated with drugs and alcohol, which resulted to a high speed chase with the police as he crashed Houston's car.
