Early in the game New Zealand kept the game close with three straight three-pointers. However, that did not stop the momentum of USA, leading by as much as 22 points by the half.

In the first half, Team USA was 60 percent in their shots.

In the third quarter, the lead extended to 30 points. In the fourth, the lead was cut to 21 points, leaving USA the clear victors.

Anthony Davis and Kenneth Faried's performances were key to USA's win. The former scored 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds, while the latter contributed 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Ukraine also took on Turkey, who previously made the formidable Team USA sweat bullets. Both teams needed the win in order to take the number two rank in their groups.

Olexandr Mishula scored highly for Ukraine, earning 19 points off the bench. While the game was offensively challenged early on, Ukraine was able to pull away in the second half.

Two three-pointers in the dying minutes of the game cemented Ukraine's win, 64-58.

The final game for Group C was between the Dominican Republic and Finland. Both teams came in to the game with one win and one loss.

The Dominican Republic lead big until the last quarter. Then, Finland systematically cut the lead to only three points in the final two minutes of the game. However, the Dominican Republic was able to hold on and secure a win, 64-58.

While the Dominican Republic found their second win in the FIBA World Cup, it came with a price as big man Eloy Vargas - who set a new blocking record in Spain with 4 blocks - left the game early with a knee injury.
