T-Mobile has announced new set of services added to its Binge On Program, expanding the company's stream video service.

New services has over 12 streaming video and audio services to Binge On so its users can watch and listen without charging into their mobile data plan. The Binge On expansion includes NBC, Univision, Noggin, Qello Concerts, and more. Music Freedom participants include Google Play Music, Spotify, and Radio Disney, and Tidal.

Binge On is a free incentive that enables T-Mobile customers on a qualifying Simple Choice plan to stream unlimited 480p video from dozens of partnered services, including Netflix, HBO NOW, Hulu, and YouTube, without any of the data consumed counting towards their plans. T-Mobile says its subscribers have now streamed over 377 million hours of video via Binge On.

“In the six months since we launched Binge On, the number of video providers streaming free without using your data has grown more than 240%. We’ve got something for everyone, and customers never have to worry about getting slammed with ridiculous overage penalties,” said T-Mobile president and CEO John Legere, in a statement.

T-Mobile has regularly expanded Binge On since it launched six months ago, and uses it as a weapon in the fierce propaganda war it wages with rival US carriers Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint. The company claims 93 percent of people it surveyed said they like the idea of having all video optimized to DVD quality so they can watch more using the same amount of high-speed data.

The downside of Binge On, T-Mobile caps video streams at 480p, well short of the Full HD streams the LTE network are capable of. For comparison, a high-definition TV might offer 1080 pixels. But T-Mobile claims the quality is fine for a smartphone.
