Brad Pitt came to the rescue of a young fan by saving her from a crowd of fans that rushed forward to catch a glimpse of the actor.

The 52-year-old was shooting scenes in Grand Canaria, Spain, for his upcoming film, Allied, when he stopped to meet some of the overzealous fans waiting for him near a security barrier.

As he made his way towards the fence, he noticed a young girl among the large gathering of people, getting crushed against the metal barrier. The actor's paternal instincts took over and he, along with two of his bodyguards, lifted her over the fence to safety.

The incident was captured on video and shows the father-of-six having a conversation with the fan before his security team steps in to get her over to the other side without any serious injuries.

It was a scary situation but the young woman enjoyed a nice little meeting with Pitt after the ordeal as he can be seen comforting the shaken child as another man held her in her arms.

Allied is a WWII romantic-thriller directed by Robert Zemeckis and also stars Marion Cotillard, who is currently filming scenes in Las Palmas.

The film, set in 1942, is inspired by true events and follows the story of a French-Canadian spy (Pitt), who falls head over heels in love with a French agent Marianne (Cotillard) and finds out that she's a Nazi spy shortly after the two get married.

The film, which also stars Lizzy Caplan and Matthew Goode, is slated to hit theaters on Nov. 23.
