"The Flash" season 3 cast member Candice Patton recently dished on the changes that will take place after Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) decided to alter the timeline in the finale episode for season 2.

During that time, Barry as The Flash went back to the time when his mother Nora was about to get killed by a villainous character. In the original timeline, Nora was killed, but Barry decided to ensure that she will be kept alive this time around.

Unfortunately, Barry's decision to keep his mother will have major consequences.

While at a Q&A session at Dallas Comic Con 2016 Fan Expo on Sunday, Patton said that if her character Iris was informed about what Barry did, Iris would've supported Barry's decision to keep his mom alive.

"That's a great question. And it's interesting because they have a great relationship in which she's really supportive and loyal to Barry, and I think he had told her, she would have said exactly what she said to him on the patio on their house. Which is that, 'Whatever you need to do, wherever you need to go, do it. I'll be here when you get back.' I think she would've said that exact same thing. As long as she knew he was coming back," she said.

Meanwhile, "The Flash" star Carlos Valdes confirmed that Barry's rash decision will alter how the premiere episode for season 3 would go about.

While at the MegaCon panel, he said that the changes in the premiere episode and moving forward will be very exciting for the show and the viewers.

"It's that difference that's going to inform Barry's trajectory throughout the season, and I think people are going to like it," he said.

"The Flash" season 3 will premiere on The CW sometime at the end of this year.
