Tech giant Apple has launched an application named Swift Playgrounds program that will allow children and young developers to learn Apple's Swift developer language.

In a statement, Apple Senior Vice President of Software Engineering Craig Federighi said, "Swift Playgrounds is the only app of its kind that is both easy enough for students and beginners, yet powerful enough to write real code. It's an innovative way to bring real coding concepts to life and empower the next generation with the skills they need to express their creativity."

Apple Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook said that Swift Playgrounds is a relatively easy tool to learn and use, just like most of the company's devices. Many tech analysts have noted that the new Swift Playgrounds shows a lot of improvements from Apple's Objective-C, a previously released programming language.

One of the many features of Swift Playgrounds that will appeal to young programmers is its easy approach to programming. The app has lots of colorful tools which makes it look more like a fun game.

For some analysts, the most important feature of Swift Playgrounds is that it fits right into Apple's proprietary business strategy. All the codes and programs built using Swift Playgrounds will only work on the iOS platform. Moreover, Apple is hoping that Swift Playgrounds will serve as a stepping stone to train young programmers to become future App Store developers.

This is not that first time that Apple has tried to tap the potential of the young generation. The tech giant has deep tentacles in the education market with programs like providing iPads in classrooms.

As of this writing, the Swift Playgrounds is already available for Apple developers to use in developer preview mode. The application will be released in public beta in July, and Apple is aiming to release the final version of the App in fall.
