Selma Blair is apologizing for her erratic behavior after she had a disturbing outburst on a Los Angeles-bound plane, which led to her being hospitalized.

The actress was travelling from Cancun to LA with her 4-year-old son Arthur and ex Jason Bleick on a Delta flight when she had an in-flight meltdown, after which she was stretchered off the plane and taken to a nearby hospital, as previously reported.

According to TMZ, who first broke the news, the "Cruel Intentions" star was having a glass of wine when she started crying and saying strange things while referring to an unknown man like "He burns my private parts. He won't let me eat or drink" and "He beats me. He's going to kill me."

The 43-year-old, who was returning from a Father's Day weekend getaway with her son and former husband when the incident took place, has now explained what exactly happened and apologized for her actions.

"I made a big mistake yesterday," Blair told Vanity Fair. "After a lovely trip with my son and his Dad, I mixed alcohol with medication, and that caused me to black out and led me to say and do things that I deeply regret.

She added that she was lucky that her son was fast asleep with his father and had his headphones on at the time of her meltdown, which she described as a "saving grace."

Blair later went on to say sorry to the passengers and staff onboard the flight and expressed gratitude to those who supported her in the aftermath of the incident.

"I am a flawed human being who makes mistakes and am filled with shame over this incident. I am truly very sorry," she said.
