Struggling powerhouse squads Jiangsu Suning FC (9-4-5, 32 points) and Hebei China Fortune FC (9-6-3, 30 points) are set to face one another at the Nanjing Olympic Sports Centre on July 20, Wednesday as the 2016 Chinese Super League season moves on.

Jiangsu Suning is still at the second spot of the China top flight table despite being on a two-game losing skid and losing three of their last four matches, although league leaders Guangzhou Evergrande's lead increased to 13 points at the moment.

New head coach Choi Yong-soo had been struggling to meet expectations with the powerhouse club that has Brazilians Ramires and Alex Teixeira in its lineup. The South Korean manager has only won once in four games for the Nanjing residents since he took over from interim head coach Tang Jing last month.

A Ramires-less Jiangsu was crushed by newly-promoted side Yanbian Funde, 0-3, at the Yanji Nationwide Fitness Centre Stadium last Saturday, CCTV English reported.

Kim Seung-dae, Bubacarr Trawally, and Akbar Ahmetjan scored a goal each for the hosts as they handed Suning their second straight loss.

Teixeira was the only import available for Choi as Ramires was handed a four-match ban by the CSL for attempting to attack the referee after receiving a red card during the team's 1-2 defeat to Shandong Luneng last week.

Striker Jô had recently moved to Serbian club Red Star Belgrade while defender Trent Sainsbury was rested.

Meanwhile, Hebei China Fortune dropped a sorry 0-1 game to Beijing Guoan with an own goal from defender Ding Haifeng right at the second minute of the match, as per Xinhuanet.

It was the fourth straight loss and fifth consecutive winless match of head coach Li Tie's side in the Chinese first division competitions this season which dropped them to the fourth spot of the league table after competing with the Southern China Tigers for the top spot during the first few weeks of the term.

Both teams are having internal disarray at the moment, but Jiangsu is favored to win this match at home.

The predicted result is a close 2-1 victory for Jiangsu Suning.
