The Manchester United team flew to China on Tuesday for their 2016-17 pre-season tour.

Jose Mourinho took a 25-man Manchester United team to the Far East for the squad's two-match tour in China against Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City.

The game against Borussia Dortmund will be held at the Shanghai Stadium on Friday, July 22, while the first Manchester derby will be on July 25 at the Beijing National Stadium. The friendly game will be Mourinho's first head-to-head encounter with City's new boss, Pep Guardiola, after the former Barcelona man arrived at the Etihad this summer.

Mourinho and the United team boarded a Russian Airline Aeroflot plane at Manchester Airport and are expected to receive a warm welcome from their die-hard fans upon their arrival.

United's team includes goalkeepers David De Gea, Sergio Romero, and Sam Johnstone; defenders Eric Bailly, Daley Blind, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Phil Jones, Paddy McNair, Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw, Chris Smalling, Axel Tuanzebe, and Antonio Valencia; midfielders Michael Carrick, Ander Herrera, Adnan Januzaj, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Memphis Depay, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Andreas Pereira, and Ashley Young; and strikers Will Keane, Marcus Rashford, Wayne Rooney.

At the month, the Reds are set to face Galatasaray in Gothenburg, Sweden, on July 30.

On the other hand, Sky Sports reported that Manchester United's executive vice chairman Ed Woodward is currently in Italy to attempt to lure Paul Pogba from Juventus to sign with the team. He is expected to join the tour later this week.

The 23-year-old Pogba has been valued at $130.97 million, but United is poised to offer around $112.5 million, according to the Daily Mail. However, Serie A champions Juventus insist that the player is not for sale.
