The Chinese men's national basketball team endured their second consecutive defeat after losing to France 88-60  in the second round of the group phase at the ongoing 2016 Rio Games on Monday.

"We played a decent game, and showed our mentality. We wanted to show our best self in the game, but we had to admit the gap between the two sides," China's national head coach Gong Luming said. "We had 60 points, which showed our poor performance in the offensive end."
