A consortium of Chinese investors will pay $819 million to buy Italian A.C. Milan soccer team. The consortium plans to buy 99.93 percent of AC Milan's shares, putting an end to Silvo Berlusconi's 30-year-long ownership of the Italian club.

Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has sold club AC Milan to a Chinese consortium, he told the press on Tuesday.

An unidentified Chinese firm is rumored to be in talks with Italian Serie A squad AC Milan for it to buy an 80 percent stake in the club with the remaining 20 percent set to be purchased within two or three years from now.
