Alibaba Tops Smart Car Race With RX5 Internet Connected Car

With top tech companies like Google, Apple and Tesla struggling to develop their own driverless car, Chinese tech giant Alibaba took a different route and instead launched what it claims is the first Internet connected car, the RX5 sports utility vehicle.

China's Alibaba is officially in the car business as it recently introduced its first "internet car" Roewe RX5 SUV model in partnership with China's biggest car maker SAIC Motor Corp. on Wednesday at an event in Hangzhou.
