The latest NBA trade rumors suggested that Los Angeles Clippers may exchange Blake Griffin with New York Knicks' Kristaps Porzingis.

Aside from Porzingis, Clippers is reportedly looking to acquire veteran center Joakim Noah as well. Despite the interesting details surrounding the supposed deal, a closer look at it will reveal that it is more likely to remain a rumor.

Porzingis turned out to be one of the most exciting rookies to grace the last season of the NBA. The 21-year-old Latvian player averaged 14.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game during his debut. This impressive set of stats is one of the many reasons why the Knicks would be hesitant to give him up.

On the other hand, the Knicks is reportedly showing utmost interest towards Griffin, as it sees him as a great addition to their roster. However, the Knicks does not have enough trade assets in order to pursue its plan, aside from letting go one or two of its core assets, which in this case would be Porzingis and Noah.

Amid this NBA trade rumor, the Knicks is expected to be severely crippled on both ends of the court should they try to trade Porzingis and Noah, according to HNGN.

Aside from the Knicks trade rumor, the Clippers is likewise looking for viable trade options for Griffin, who will already be a free agent after the 2016-2017 season.

Many sports analysts believe that trading Griffin would be the best option for the Clippers, rather than losing him through free agency.
