Cavs Snatch Easy Win Against Grizzlies; to Sit James, Love, Irving Next Game

Superstars aside, it looks like the Cleveland Cavaliers can deal with their opponents even if one of these stars are not on the roster. The current NBA Champions showed why they are the best in the league with a recent performance against the Memphis Grizzlies. The Cavs, despite Kyrie Irving being out, snatched a blowout with, 103-86.

According to NBA.com, leading the Cavs' offense was Kevin Love who posted 29 points, 13 rebounds, three assists, and two steals. LeBron James added 23 points, six rebounds, 8 assists, and three steals. JR Smith had an impressive night with 23 points, five rebounds, and two assists. Filling in for the resting Irving is DeAndre Liggins who had three points, five rebounds, four assists, two steals, and a block.

The Grizzlies' offense was led by Zach Randolph with 18 points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Troy Williams added 13 points, six rebounds, and an assist.

Even without Irving to call the team's offense, the Cavs performed as expected of a defending NBA champion. The Cavs have won the last five games in a row, following a three-game losing streak.

The Cavs will be visiting Memphis on Wednesday night. Cavs head coach Tyronn Lue decided to rest James, Love, and Irving on this upcoming game and rely its offense of its remaining roster. It was an exhausting schedule for the Cavs and its big stars deserve a much needed rest for now.

Regarding its decision to sit his three superstars, Lue told SBS, "But we have good players and we will figure it out, hopefully. Everybody has to be themselves - nobody can be LeBron, Ky and Kev. Should be fun."
