His charges included possession of illegal and controlled substances, prison escape, and assault and battery of a police officer.

On Thursday, the 30-year-old suspect had beheaded one of his former co-workers, identified as 54-year-old Colleen Hufford, and was stabbing another when he was shot by a company official in the Vaughan Foods facility in the suburban community of Moore in Oklahoma City.

The other victim was identified to be 43-year-old Traci Johnson, who was stabbed and wounded during the attack.

Authorities believe that the attack had been random as the suspect carried out the crime immediately after he was told that he was being laid off from the company.

"It did appear random. It appears they were just in his way as he came in," Police Sergeant Jeremy Lewis stated.

Police officers also cited that the incident could have gone worse if the factory's chief operating officer had not interfered and shot Nolen.

Local police officers are currently waiting for the suspect to awaken to arrest him on the attack and had requested for assistance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation during the probe on the incident.

Moore police officers had asked the FBI to check the suspect's background due to the incident's similarity to beheadings done by the terrorist group Daesh, most popularly known as the Islamic State.

Reports indicated that Nolen had recently converted to Islam and that he was trying to convince some of his former co-workers to join him in his newly found faith prior to the attack.
