21-year-old Duggar and 19-year-old Seewald had their marriage ceremonies in front of around 1,000 people, which included members from their Christian families. It took place at the First Baptist Church located in Bentonville, Arkansas.

According to People Magazine, Pastor Mike Schadt introduced the two as Mr. and Mrs. Seewald but he pressed that the two would not be kissing. He then asked the parents of Jessa, Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar to kiss in place of the newlyweds. The pastor then joked, "So, now you've seen a Duggar kiss."

The ceremony is said to be show next year during the airing of an episode of the said show.

Although the newlyweds did not share a kiss at their ceremony, the two were spotted to have locked lips during the reception of their wedding, witnesses say.

Another unconventional way during the wedding was that the guests were served with ice cream sundaes instead of cake as Jessa said that she does not really like cake.

Jessa also wore a blush-tone bridal ball gown and is said to be a trend nowadays as Jessiac Biel and Gwen Stefani were seen wearing such. According to People, her dress was a design from Allure and was part of the Fall 2014 Modest collection. It featured a scoop neck, cap sleeves, a beaded bodice with Swarovski crystals and pearls. It also had a customized tulle and satin skirt.

Jessa and Ben were engaged back in August after Ben courted Jessa for 11 months.
