Kim Kardashian's completely naked body yesterday, not to mention her out-of-size butt, brought netizens to laughter, rebuke, anger, or simply scratched their head wondering what on earth is wrong with the reality TV star... Or asking if the pics were for real or just hyped by some Photoshop artists.

But real or not-so-real, the more intriguing question is how much was Kardashian paid that she agreed to totally bare all!

If you think she got hundreds of thousands... or even millions... the amount might surprise you!

A lot of people actually assume that the mag offered her a huge chunk of cash just to get her "yes" for this Internet-breaking snapshot but E! News found out that Kardashian actually did it all for FREE!

"Kim was not paid to appear in the magazine," a rep from Paper  told E! News.

But she was sooooo excited to be working with French photographer Jean-Paul Goude that she immediately agreed to the shoot. In fact, Paper has a reputation of not paying a cent to any of its cover model.

Anyway, Kim never planned to pose totally naked.

"Kim went into the shoot with just the one cover image in mind: the champagne pic, because Jean-Paul Goude wanted to recreate his pic he took 30 years ago. That was it," the source for E! News revealed.

The shoot, by the way, took place last September during Paris Fashion Week Spring 2015.

"But Jean-Paul and Kim hit it off and they asked everyone to leave and they both got creative. No publicist, no magazine execs," the source continued.

"He had to be inspired and sketch her first and have a vision," the insider said.

"So he came up with that-ripping the dress off. Kim loved it!"

Did Kim ever felt humiliated or abused then? Naaah... she was totally comfortable.

"Kim was all game for anything and the art of it," the source said. "He's iconic."
