Police Hunt For Man Last Seen With Dead Executive

(Photo : Photo distributed by Citigroup) The body of Shawn D. Miller, a Citigroup Inc. managing director, was reportedly found with his throat slit in the tub at his Financial District condo in Manhattan, New York.

Police officials are said to be looking for a man who was last seen with the Citigroup executive found dead. The victim had been slit on his throat while lying in his tub at his condominium in Financial district located in Manhattan, New York on Wednesday.

A surveillance video has been provided by the Greenwich Street building showing the 41-year-old executive identified as Shawn Miller with another man in the elevator on Monday evening.

The unknown man reportedly later left the building alone and Miller was nowhere in sight. According to the officials, they are not considering the other man with Miller as a suspect but they want to bring him in for questioning about the death. Investigators could not rule out the case as to whether it was suicide or homicide.

The man reportedly kept him company for a while and it was suspected the two might have had sex when Miller met the unknown man at backpage.com.

The officials noted that the body of Miller was found by the doorman named Tommy Perez.

Perez told the investigators that he went to the apartment of the victim on Tuesday afternoon after he received a call from a man who has claimed that he is the Canadian boyfriend of Miller. Perez then found Miller at the tub.

The boyfriend of Miller reportedly last spoke to him on Monday at 7:11 in the evening. The sources noted that he was talking to Miller while he was in his apartment with the said mystery man in the obtained surveillance video.

Officials noted that they still have not found the weapon used to cut open the throat of Miller and investigation is underway. The motive of the death is yet to be revealed, but officials noted that there were drugs and alcohol found in the said apartment.

Miller is said to be a top banker at Citigroup and is the managing director for environmental and social risk management.
