The Xbox One crushed the PS4 in U.S. Black Friday sales, according to market analytics firm InfoScout.

Making up 53 percent of all sales on Black Friday, the Xbox One made a monumental leap in sales, compared to the rest of the year. For most of 2014, the Xbox One has been second bested by Sony's PS4.

The PS4 made up 31 percent of Black Friday sales, the Xbox 360 came in at third with 9 percent and the Wii U managed a rather poor 6 percent of all Black Friday sales.

Microsoft continues to show better sales than Sony on last-gen consoles. The Xbox 360 is still seeing investment from new games - Microsoft did announce a new Xbox 360 model last year to keep customers interested in the older system.

The Wii U did show more prominence in the child sector, showing Nintendo is still a more suitable brand for younger audiences. InfoScout claims 92 percent of all customers in the survey bought the Wii U for a child, while only 66 percent said the same for Xbox One.

InfoScout takes information from 180,000 participants, making it a questionable source for the millions of Black Friday customers. Numbers from other analytics groups seem to show the same figures, Xbox One scoring more and Wii U down in the dumps.

Microsoft has been steadily reducing the price of the Xbox One to hit the PS4. Early this year the Xbox One with Kinect was dropped, reducing the price by $100. Microsoft dropped the price a second time by $50, to hit the $349 price tag in the U.S.

It seems to have worked, at least in the U.S., to combat Sony's excessive gains. Reports say 15 million PS4 units have been sold, to 8 million from the Xbox One.

In Europe, the PS4 still shows dominance over the Xbox One. The Wii U is also not showing much gain at all in the region, allowing Sony to gain even more control.

Japan has shown time and time again it does not want Xbox and sales suggest the Wii U and PS4 are on top. In China, the Xbox One continues to be the only console on sale, but customers might not be happy with the new console.
