Three women appeared at a press conference to slam comedian Bill Cosby with sexual assault.

Renowned woman's rights lawyer Gloria Allred hosted a press conference for three women who claimed have been victims of Bill Cosby's sexual misconduct.

The women, Helen Hayes, Beth Ferrier and one named "Chelan."

Dozens of TV and radio outlets responded to Allred's request for press coverage, which also saw an unusual amount of security for the event.

Allred proposed a settlement that according to Hollywood Reporter is similar to those proposed by the Catholic church when resolving allegations on priest molestations, even if the statute of limitations had expired.

Chelan revealed that Cosby raped her. She was only 17 years old then and had wanted to become a model. She met the comedian while working at the Las Vegas Hilton who gave her a pill, which caused her to feel hazy. She woke up "13 to 16 hours later, "hearing Mr. Cosby clapping his hands and saying, 'Daddy says wake up.' He gave me US$1,500."

Meanwhile, Ferrier sobbed many times as she recalled her extramarital affair with Cosby, which lasted for months. She was a young, aspiring model and actress in the 1980s. She was introduced to Cosby by her then-agent. She recalled one incident after Cosby's performance in Denver, when he gave her coffee, which is believed to have been drugged, and she lost consciousness. She woke up hours later at the back of her car.

"My clothes were a mess; my bra was undone. My car was in the alleyway behind the venue. I felt disoriented. I had no idea what happened to me," she said.

Ferrier told her experience to the National Enquirer. After passing a lie detector test, the Enquirer did not publish her story but instead printed an article about Cosby denying the accusations.

Meanwhile, Hayes recounted her tale saying that she met Cosby in 1973 at a Celebrity Tennis Tournament hosted by Clint Eastwood in Pebble Beach, Calif.

Hayes revealed that Cosby had followed her and her two friends "all day."

She said that because Cosby was with them, they felt they were safe.

"But then when he found us in the last restaurant he approached me from behind and reached over my shoulder and grabbed my right breast ... His behavior was like that of a predator," Hayes said.

Ferrier was the Jane Joe who was set to testify on the 2005 lawsuit by Andrea Constand against the comedian, which eventually ended in a settlement in 2006.

Allred suggested that Cosby put aside the statutes of limitation on all those sexual abuse claims so he could deal with them altogether. This would give the women the opportunity to present their evidence and for Cosby to prepare for his defense.

Allred believes that this is the best way for Cosby to prove that the claims against him were "untruthful," as what his lawyer claimed.

She also proposed that Cosby set aside $100 million as funding for any compensation to be given to claimants. Likewise, she proposed that any woman who steps up to have been claimed by Cosby should appear before a panel of arbitrators composed of retired judges. The panel will decide if the claim is indeed truthful and determine the amount of compensation to be granted to the claimant.
