Boyhood And The Grand Budapest Hotel Grab Golden Globe Best Picture Honors: Here's the Complete List of Movie Winners

Indie films Boyhood and The Grand Budapest Hotel were hailed as the best picture champs at the 72nd Golden Globe Awards.

The ceremony was held at Beverly Hilton Hotel Sunday and welcomed the biggest and the brightest stars both on film and TV for the night of laughter, glamour, and glittering statues.

Boyhood, the Richard Linklater-directed coming of age drama that follows the life of a boy that spanned 12 years , bagged the best motion picture award for drama.

The Grand Budapest Hotel, meanwhile, took the best picture honors for a comedy or musical film. The movie centers on the story of a hotel concierge who sought the help of one of his staff to prove his innocence over murder charges.

In the acting department, Eddie Redmayne won the best actor for drama for his stirring portrayal of physicist Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything. Julianne Moore, meanwhile, was impressive enough on her performance as the Columbia professor suffering from early onset of Alzheimer's in Still Alice to bring home the best movie actress for drama. Michael Keaton, meanwhile, won the best comedy actor for his role as the forgotten movie hero staging a comeback in Birdman. Amy Adams earned her second Golden Globe win, this time for best actress in comedy/musical for her portrayal of Margaret Kean in Big Eyes.

Patricia Arquette won the best supporting actress for a motion picture as the unappreciated mother in Boyhood, while J.K. Simmons grabbed the best supporting honors for Whiplash.
