Bryant has been chosen to be one of the guests of Michelle in the House Chamber as the president will be delivering the much-awaited speech as the White House confirms. It has been a tradition that the first lady will be inviting guests and it is most likely to happen that the guests will be mentioned in the address and their ideas about policies or proposals into making the state a better country will be mentioned in the speech.

Bryant is reportedly attending an Englewood grammar school. What he wrote for Santa was this: "All I ask for is for safety. I just wanna be safe."

The letter that was supposedly for Santa was a project that was initiated by the Chicago-based DirectEffect Charities that has been operating since 2001. The letter containing the wish of the child was then sent to the White House and so the president gave Bryant a response to his letter.

The reply was dated on December 22 of last year and Obama said that each day, he strives to ensure that communities like the place where Bryant lives will be a safe place where children can "dream, discover, and grow". The president adds that he will be rooting for the teenager.

Barack Obama also said, "Please know your security is a priority for me in everything I do as President."

According to Michelle DiGiacomo, the CEO of DirectEffect, when she pulled the later from a seventh-grade class, she can no longer stop reading it as the child was asking for something that was so simple.
