Meghan Trainor Dethrones Taylor Swift; "Title" Album Debuts No. 1 On Billboard 200 Chart

Title's sound tracks include the singer's hits: "All About That Bass" and "Lips Are Movin."

The album sold 238,000 equivalent units based on Nielsen SoundScan data for the week ending January 18, making it the biggest-selling album for a first week from a female act for over five years now.

Susan Boyle was the last female performer to hit a big-time debut, whose album I Dreamed a Dream, sold 701,000 copies in 2009.

Trainor was the first singer to break Taylor Swiftt's No. 1 streak this 2015 as her 1989 album grabbed the second spot after selling over 131,000 units. Nevertheless, 1989's total album sales already surpassed the four million mark. All of Swift's studio albums so far sold at least four million copies.

Following Trainor to make a big debut on the chart is Kidz Bop's Kidz Bop 27, which sold 80,000 copies.

Ed Sheeran's X dropped from No. 2 to No. 4 while Mark Ronson's Uptown Special made it to the top five for its debut week with, selling 77,000 unit. Ronson, as well as Bruno Mars, also enjoys the honor of having the most-downloaded track for the third straight week, selling 400,000 copies of Uptown Funk!
