Kelly Osbourne Quits Fashion Police

Kelly Osbourne is definitely a woman of her words and she stuck to what she said that she'd be resigning from her stint as host of E!'s Fashion Police.

A few days before, Osbourne threatened to leave her longtime job at the fashion talk show after E! fashion correspondent Giuliana Rancic quipped a rather racist remark at Zendaya, who was Osbourne's close friend.

The network immediately issued a statement explaining Osbourne's decision to quit her job.

"Kelly Osbourne is departing E!'s Fashion Police to pursue other opportunities, and we would like to thank her for her many contributions to the series over the past five years, during which time the show became a hit with viewers," the statement goes.

Fashion Police will still run on its schedule, although the network has not yet come up with a replacement.

Osbourne hit colleague Giuliana Rancic after she made a rather racist assessment of Zendaya Coleman's Oscars look, saying her hair smelled of either "patchouli or weed" after she arrived on the Oscar's red carpet in dreadlocks.

Zendaya immediately hit Rancic via Twitter. Rancic nevertheless made an on-air apology.

Insiders, however, can tell, that it's not actually the incident that triggered Kelly to retire. The host has been growing weary with what's going on in Fashion Police following the death of Joan Rivers. Kelly has been a host in the show since 2010 and it was believed that she's unhappy with the revamp. Kathy Griffin took Joan Rivers' place, while Brad Goreski replaced George Kotsiopoulos.

The show went off air after River's but its comeback has failed to draw huge audience the way it used to.
