"I can't let myself hurt them," said Jenner, displaying his concern for the people close to his heart.

Jenner, who has a total of six children from his previous marriages and served as a stepfather to Kim, Khloe, Kourtney and Robert Kardashian, said he spent a lifetime getting ready for this grand revelation.

"It made me who I am," Jenner added.

The much-anticipated interview marks the start of Jenner's new journey as his true self in the eyes of the public.

The former Olympian went through three marriages and became an icon to aspiring athletes.

When Jenner slowly revealed that he was transitioning, the news came as a shock, with some renouncing their appreciation for Jenner.

The 65-year old former decathlete displayed gradual signs of change, from letting his hair grow to wearing colorful nail polish, and reducing the size of his Adam's apple.

After Jenner was involved in a controversy that included a multiple vehicular accident on Malibu highway, he is now ready to tackle other issues especially his personal life.

Jenner seemed more happy and at peace with himself, since he is already living life the way he wanted it, according to a close family source.

Jenner's children, including his stepchildren, have been fully supportive of his decision and continue to love him for who he is.

"Bruce Jenner - The Interview", the two hour 'tell-all' interview with Diane Sawyer, will air on April 24 on ABC.
