Update on 'Mortal Kombat X': Legendary Character Rain Ready for a Comeback; Bugs Still Haunt PC Version

Ed Boon, developer of "Mortal Kombat X" posted earlier today an intriguing comment on Twitter which featured a Beatles poster simply titled "Rain" to be used for a Chicago event this May. Although it does not contain a connection with the soon-to-be-released game, long-time fans speculate that it is somehow related to an old "Mortal Kombat" character, Rain.

The character Rain first came into the game in "Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3" then continued to play in "Mortal Kombat Trilogy." For those who are not familiar with this character, Rain resembles mainstays of "Mortal Kombat" Scorpion and Sub-Zero. Rain dons a purple ninja-inspired outfit with powers based on the elements and this how he is different from the other ninjas playing in the game.

Sub-Zero and Scorpion are considered the most enduring and popular of the characters in "Mortal Kombat" series but Rain remains to be a favorite and always attracted painful criticism among the ninja characters. Gamers considered Rain as ordinary with poor and simple execution derivatives, according to Gospel Herald.

History may not be kind to Rain but it seems that "Mortal Kombat X" will see an updated and better version of his character. Developer Boon just released a DLC pack with another legendary character Jason Voorhees and teased that Rain is the probable addition to the characters in the game, according to Ecumenical News.

Meanwhile, PCs owners complain that bugs are still present as they lost the games they saved after downloading and eventually installing the patch recently released on Steam. The patch was supposed to fix the previous error in online connection issues playing "Mortal Kombat X" on their PC.
