Whistle blower Snowden got sensitive documents about Chinese leaders

(Edward Snowden)

Recently, a National Security Agency internal review about Edward Snowden leaking documents on U.S. surveillance program PRISM focuses on a particular area. That is Snowden has got some sensitive documents about U.S. spying on Chinese leaders and other critical targets. Moreover, the internal review has found that the former NSA contractor was able to range across hundreds of thousands of pages of documents. It worries National Security Agency a lot as they don't want other countries to know about details of U.S intelligence service.

The internal investigation is still underway among National Security Agency. Investigators have figured out what documents Snowden has obtained through NSA computer system. The key point of the current investigation is to find out what documents Snowden has taken away.

Previously, Snowden told Hong Kong medias that NSA was monitoring network information of Hong Kong and the Mainland. But he has refuted the speculation that he provided classified documents to China. Currently, China and U.S. are holding the fifth round of China-US Strategic and Economic Dialogue. If the news how NSA invades Chinese network is exposed further more at this point, it may cause damages on China-US relationship.

A senior intelligence official said when being interviewed, anonymously, "We're deeply concerned. The more that this gets made public, the more capability we lose." Another intelligence official said, according to the current investigation, Snowden did not appear to have obtained "collected data", or the raw intelligence that results from hacking and other collection operations. However, he admitted that Snowden had threatened the national safety of U.S.

Snowden has stated publicly he does not plan to publicize technical specifics of the NSA's operations. He has archived encrypted documents with others. The Guardian's Glenn Greenwald said, "If anything happens" to Snowden, "the documents will inevitably be published." But U.S. government still worry they could eventually be out of control.
