'Street Fighter 5' Update: Capcom To Perform Beta Stress Test; Akuma Day 1 DLC, New Details For 'SF5' On PAX Prime!

According to Gameranx, Capcom announced in their community blog that a stress beta test for "Street Fighter 5" will begin starting today August 25 and on Wednesday Aug. 26. The test will begin at 4:00pm until 12am for both days within North and South America.

Shacknews further adds that Capcom will be returning the five day beta tests for "Street Fighter 5" as they will announce the time and date for its schedule very soon, so long as the stress test today and tomorrow goes smoothly for them as planned.

Capcom also recommended gamers to follow the Twitter page @SFVServer for more upcoming updates and details for the "Street Fighter 5" beta stress test today and tomorrow.

Capcom recently had a series of problems regarding "Street Fighter 5's" beta test campaign as many gamers complained about several glitches and bugs found in the game that resulted in a temporary shut down of the beat in order for them to fix the problem.

It was reported before that Capcom will install a patch 1.2 update for "Street Fighter 5" in order to remedy the problems found in the beta's in-game functionality. Capcom has also thanked the gaming fans for their patience and understanding , and will likely return the favor by testing out the new patch update for this week.

Aside from the beta stress test, Attack of the Fanboy reports that Capcom will be revealing new game details for "Street Fighter 5" at PAX Prime on August 28-31 in Seattle, Washington.

Unfortunately "Street Fighter" creator Yoshinori Ono will not be able to attend the event, however he hinted that Capcom is preparing something new that will make everyone happy and excited.


Capcom will also have another event after from PAX Prime at the GameStop Expo on September 2 in Las Vegas Navada.

So far, the confirmed characters in "Street Fighter 5" include Ryu, Chun Li, Charlie Nash, M.Bison, Cammy White, Birdie, Ken Masters, Necalli and Vega.

Other rumored characters that will likely join the roster are Urien, R. Mika, Karen Kanzaki, Alex, Zangief, Blanka, Guile, Hugo, Poison, C.Viper, Dudley, and Abel. A previous report in March hinted that two new characters will debut in "Street Fighter 5" and their names are Kuan and Sherry, while Akuma will be added in the game as a Day 1 DLC character.

"Street Fighter 5" will release in Spring 2016 for the PlayStation 4 and PC.
