The 55-year-old actor took to his Twitter and shared the news with his followers. The picture shows him posing with tailors mannequins. The actor is currently in his second week of classes.

The short course in bespoke tailoring at the London art school runs over four weeks. "[Banderas is] starting from scratch and learning the basics of bespoke tailoring," the spokeswoman of the college said.

The actor had expressed his desire to enrol into the course earlier this year. The spokeswoman declined to comment on whether Banderas is planning to launch his own line. Meanwhile, the actor's representative could not be reached for comment Thursday, WWD reported.

The course will end before full-time students return in October. The 55-year-old Spanish actor told on British TV show "Loose Women" earlier this year that he aspired to study fashion. He added that he required knowledge to step into the territory, adding that fashion "makes me feel, actually, very young."

The art and design school has trained John Galliano, Alexander McQueen, and Stella McCartney.

Banderas's brush with fashion began when he collaborated with celebrated Spanish fragrance company Puig to release a series of fragrances for men and women.

H has 46 perfumes, the earliest edition was created in 1997 and the newest is from 2015. Antonio Banderas fragrances were made in collaboration with perfumers Rosendo Mateu, Sonia Constant, Christophe Raynaud, Elisabeth Vidal, Olivier Cresp, and Pierre Wargnye.

The actor said that his love with fragrances began when he used to till wear shorts. To him perfume has been a home coming, a look back at his childhood, his school years, his first kiss, his home in Malaga and his roots.

His recent roles include the villain in "The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge out of Water" and the "Knight of Cups," which is a romantic fantasy drama.
