"Grey's Anatomy" may be unthinkable without Patrick Dempsey a.k.a. McDreamy, but Season 12 promises that characters will be "falling into bed" in the almost reboot of the show, actor Jason George says.

Fans are still trying to recover from the loss of Dr. Derek Shepherd, but George, who plays the role of Dr. Ben Warren, said that there will be a "brand new" feel to the 12-season long drama series.

In his interview with People he explained, "The writers have made this extra effort to breathe new air and refresh everything."

The 40-year-old actor said that although it looks like they've hit the restart button the things that people love about the show will still be there.

George added, "They've hit reboot almost. There's a lot of things that make it feel brand new, but it has that lightness and sense of humor that people fell in love with in the first place."

He also teased that after the grief comes some lovin'. The writers and producers are bringing the sexy back with a lot of single characters on the show.  

"And the sexy sexy is back on. There are a lot of people who are not in couples now and are falling into bed. Everyone's getting a little bit of loving," George said.

But that is not to say that Dempsey isn't missed on the set. George admitted that it feels different that he's not there but for a show running for 12 long years, change is necessary.

The actor went on to explain, "The show has been on 12 years, but it has to change. People think they want everything to stay the same and everyone to be happy, but happy people make for boring television, ultimately."

Season 12 of "Grey's Anatomy" returns on Sept. 24 on ABC.
