Since the size for the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop upgrade is approximately 563.18 MB, users must be connected to a reliable Wi-Fi connection to download and install this upgrade without any hassles.

In addition to this, the battery in the device must be charged up to at least 50 percent. This upgrade will make the user interface much smoother, along with new animation and an enhanced battery life. It will also make the device switch between apps faster and also host a number of performance and stability improvements. It will come with a lot of bug fixes as well, the main being the Stage Fright bug fix.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 users can check for this upgrade with the following steps:

Menu Key > Settings > About Phone > Software updates > Check for updates

If the device is up for the update, it will prompt the user to download it. After the download is complete (it will take about 15-30 minutes), the device will get rebooted and the installation process will begin. After that, the device will start again on its own, running on Android Lollipop 5.1.1.

Also, it is confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 devices will be getting the upcoming Android M operating system when it is released in October. Android M will be launched along with the much anticipated Google Nexus 5 2015, which will be the first smartphone to come pre-equipped with Android M on its launch.
