The movie was previously directed by the world renowned director, James Cameron. While little is known about the plot at this point, Blomkamp has gone on record saying that he intends his new project to be a sequel to James Cameron's 1986 classic Aliens as speculated in a report by Screenrant.  The recent movie that Neill Blomkamp lately directed was 'Chappie'.

Neill Blomkamp also stresses the fact that he wants Michael Biehn to Return for "Alien 5" as revealed in a post by Screencrush. "It's now been established that Neill Blomkamp will be employing one of the people who helped make it, with the news that Michael Biehn will be joining the new movie's cast."

For non-followers of the movie, Biehn played a passive survivor known as Corporal Hicks in Cameron's film, the only member of Ellen Ripley's Marine escort to survive the "bug hunt" at the infested colony of Hadley's Hope. There are many things to overcome for the realization of the movie but the fans can rest assured that the new franchise will be as thrilling as the previous Alien movies. It will bring excitement and thrills combined. As the plan is on motion, the fans can just wait patiently for the fifth journey of the Aliens.

It also appears like a done deal since Sigourney Weaver, who starred in all previous "Alien" movies, joins to the cast to revive her role as Ellen Ripley. Blomkamp's given some mixed signals about how faithful his film will be to the entire Alien quadrilogy as stated in a report by Screencrush
