Huawei Introduces New Smart Watch Models Called Elegant and Jewel

Chinese tech manufacturer Huawei on Wednesday introduced two new models of their Huawei Smart Watch called Elegant and Jewel. The new models are suited towards women due to its features, which include thin bands, gold cases, and jewels on the bezel.

Elegant and Jewel models are similar to the previously released Huawei Smart Watch, the only difference is that it is purely cosmetic in appearance. The company released their Smart Watch model last year and it was received well by the Chinese markets. According to Huawei, these new sets of Smart Watch models will enable the company to reach even more consumers who might be interested in making the switch to a Smart Watch.

The Elegant and Jewel models of Huawei watch are been fashioned from 316L cold-forged stainless steel. Both models will feature a scratch resistant two-lawyer Sapphire crystal, which is a kind of premium materials that can be found in a conventional Swiss watch.

The Huawei Smart Watch runs on Android operating platform, which is compatible with both Android 4.3 and above, and iOS 8.2 and above versions. The Watch is powered by a Snapdragon 400 processor paired with 512 MB RAM. The device has a built-in 4 GB internal memory storage, and sports a 300 mAh battery.

Meanwhile, the Elegant Smart Watch model features a distinctive top ring design with a rose-gold plated body. To make this possible, the company teamed up with Swarovski Company to work on Huawei Watch Jewel, in particular the model features 68 Swarovski Zirconia jewels encircling the bezel.

Huawei has not yet confirmed the price for these new smartwatch models, but it will be available for purchase in the US in the first quarter of 2016.
