Ganso was a nominee for the Brazilian Football Confederation award for "Breakthrough Player" of the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A, given to the best rookie of the competition.

Should Ganso accept the offer, he would join a growing list of Brazilians to be wooed by rich Chinese clubs, according to Xinhua.

Among current and former Brazil internationals to move to the Asian nation in recent months is the midfielder Diego Tardelli, who transferred to Shandong Luneng.

The 2015 Brazilian Championships best player Renato Augusto also accepted a US$11 million contract offer from the Beijing Guoan of the Chinese Super League.

Midfielder Jadson moved to China in December after the Corinthians accepted a US$5.4 million offer from Tianjin Songjiang. The club also secured Luis Fabiano from Sao Paulo in the same month

There are six Brazilians in the Guangzhou Evergrande club that has won the past five league titles. Among them are former national team players Paulinho, Robinho and Ricardo Goulart. Brazil's 2002 World Cup winning manager Luiz Felipe Scolari is the club's coach.

Former Manchester United and Internacional midfielder Anderson is also being linked with a move to join Chinese side Hebei Fortune.

Chinese outfits have been very active in enticing South American players to move and to continue their football career in China.

Due to higher salaries and the improved standard of the Chinese Super League, China has become an increasingly alluring destination for Brazilian players and coaches.
