Football Transfer News: Brazilian Midfielder Geuvanio of Santos Set to Move to China's Tianjin Quanjian

A new Brazil international will be coming in for the Tianjin Quanjian. Geuvanio of Santos is moving in to China, according to media reports on Thursday.

Geuvanio Santos Silva (simply known as Geuvanio) has reportedly inked a four-year deal with the China League One side. On Saturday, the 23-year-old professional football player is expected to be officially unveiled by his new team in the Brazilian City of Atibaia, according to Xinhua.

In the last season of the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A, Geuvario scored five goals along with three assists for the Santos club. The Brazilian striker was one of the most significant players of the team, a lclub that once saw the likes of Neymar and the legendary Pele.

The well heeled second-tier outfit reportedly paid 11 million euros for the Santos striker to join the Tianjin-based football. He will be the third Brazilian footballer, following former Timao key players Luiz Fabiano and Jadson to move to the wealthy side.

Recently, Tianjin Quanjian made headlines after acquiring Chinese Super League sideLiaoning Hongyu's goalkeeper Zhang Lu in a reported 70 million yuan (US$ 10.65 million) deal, setting a new domestic player transfer record.

The club also secured the services of striker Sun Ke for a reported US$ 10 million contract. They are currently being coached by former Real Madrid and Brazil manager Vanderlei Luxemburgo.

Tianjin Quanjian was formerly called Tianjin Songjiang FC before it was bought by the Quanjian Natural Medicine Group last year. The team finished ninth in the 16-team Chinese League One in 2015. The Tianjin Tuanbo Football Stadium is the club's home stadium having a seating capacity of over 22,000.

The outfit has set a clear goal of winning a China League One title and to advance to the CSL and the move has become a recurring theme for Tianjin Quanjian FC.

"On importing prominent foreign players, we will spare no effort," said Tianjin Quanjian FC general manager.
