English Premier League club Arsenal FC has reportedly partnered with China sports broadcaster CCTV Sports' Total Soccer, a popular local soccer-themed TV show, to provide exclusive content for the enjoyment of the squad's mainland China fan base.

The content includes exclusive videos, interviews to players, coaches, trainers and executives, and other specials straight from the lens of the Gunners' cameramen. Total Soccer is shown weekly every Monday for two hours.

"Total Soccer plays an important role in the rapid growth of interest in football, the Premier League and Arsenal," said the Gunners' Chief Commercial Officer Vinai Venkatesham.

Arsenal, who is currently struggling with three straight winless outings in the English top flight after their tough 0-1 loss to defending champions Chelsea on Sunday, is said to be "the first Premier League club to partner with Total Soccer", according to Sports Pro Media.

"We have many passionate Arsenal fans in China and this exclusive arrangement by a Premier League club will bring them closer to Arsenal and help attract many more fans to follow us," Venkatesham added.

Meanwhile, Total Sports program head Jiang Heping disclosed that "the EPL is the most popular football league in China and President Xi has mentioned during his state visit in the UK that Arsenal has a massive following in China," via FC Business.

Jiang also said that "this agreement will help the development of football in China as it will provide a strong addition to our coverage."

The television content agreement with CCTV is one of many ongoing projects that the North London giants are doing to drum up interest in the huge Chinese market.

In September of last year, Arsenal also went into a three-year sponsorship agreement with DJI Holdings, UK-based licensed and authorized distributor and promoter of Chinese lottery products, to raise funds for reaching out to the vast Chinese audience.

The Emirates Stadium residents have also partnered with China soccer school operator iRena, a leading Chinese sports and cultural development company, two months later in November to promote grassroots knowledge of the sport in the Far East Asian nation. Arsenal soccer schools are reportedly being set up all over the country as part of the agreement between the two parties.
