Olynyk, who left late in the first half of the team's 139-134 overtime victory against the West's fourth leading team Los Angeles Clippers, suffered a bruised right shoulder after being fouled by center DeAndre Jordan on February 10, a few days before the All-Star break.

"It's still sore, and he received treatment throughout the All-Star break in Canada from his trainer there. He definitely won't be playing for the next couple weeks, it looks like," Danny Ainge said.

The NBA executive added that the 7-footer Canadian will not undergo surgery for what he described as a "short-term ailment."

Olynyk, who was a 2014 NBA All-Rookie Second Team member, is currently averaging 10.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 20.3 minutes of playing time per game in the 54 games he has played for the Celtics this season.

The former Gonzaga University Bulldogs is shooting 46.1 percent from the field with a 41.3 percent shooting accuracy from beyond the arc area. Olynyk is also shooting 72.8 percent from the foul line.

Olynyk was the 2013 NBA draft 13th overall pick selected by the Dallas Mavericks. He was traded immediately to the Boston Celtics for the rights to Brazilian center Lucas Nogueira and two future second round picks.

The Canadian national is now in his third season with the Celtics, which currently have a 32 wins and 23 losses record.

The Boston Celtics will be visiting the Utah Jazz of the Western Conference on Friday, February 19. The Celtics have won eight games of the ten games they played and are currently 15-13 on road this season.
