The Blue Devils are actually coming off an impressive performance during their last game in the domestic tourney, a 1-1 draw with powerhouse club Shanghai SIPG in the recent Shanghai derby held at the Shanghai Stadium on March 11th, as per Soccerway.

Greenland Shenhua were expected to lose to their more formidable neighborhood rivals, but head coach Gregorio Manzano's boys held on to the tie, sharing the point with last season's CSL runners-up in the current league table.

Shanghai's team captain, Colombian winger Giovanni Moreno, opened the scoring for Shenhua at the seventh minute, but SIPG's local midfielder Cai Huikang was able to equalize it two minutes before the halftime whistle, which ended up as the final score in the match.

Manzano and his squad are still adjusting to life without their top scorer last season, Australian Tim Cahill, who recently moved to rival team Hangzhou Greentown in controversial fashion.

Meanwhile, Shijiazhuang beat Hangzhou, 1-0, in their most recent match at the Yutong International Sports Center on March 13th, via Sofa Score.

Chinese striker Mao Jianqing provided the lone goal for manager Yasen Petrov's side at the 41st minute to grab their first win of the season.

With the victory, Ever Bright is now in a five-team tie for fifth place with Hangzhou, Liaoning Whowin, Guangzhou R&F, and Chongqing Lifan.

The predicted result is a 2-0 win for Shanghai Shenhua for their first victory of the season.
