One of this year's most improved clubs, Hangzhou Greentown FC (2-2-0, 6 points) will look to earn their third win in the young 2016 Chinese Super League season as they clash with perennial powerhouse Beijing Guoan FC (0-2-1, 1 point), who are currently struggling to find wins, in a match to be held at the Yellow Dragon Sports Center this April 17th, Sunday.

Hangzhou has alternated winning and losing in their first four games of the season, beating Changchun Yatai during their season opener in March, losing to Shijiazhuang Ever Bright in their second game, defeating regular contenders Shandong Luneng in an impressive victory on April 1st, and finally dropping a game to lowly Tianjin Teda in their most recent outing.

The evident inconsistency of manager Hong Myung-bo's boys this early in the season alludes mostly to adjusting to the team's two new import acquisitions, Australian forward Tim Cahill and Brazilian winger Denilson Gabionetta, who are being installed as key components of their offense.

In their last match versus Tianjin, Greentown was nipped 0-1 on the road at the Tianjin Olympic Center Stadium, as per Soccerway.

The Tigers' Senegalese forward Mbaye Diagne scored the lone goal for the hosts to pull off the win against Cahill and company.

The loss put the Green Giants at the sixth spot of the league table as of the moment.

Meanwhile, Beijing Guoan has opened the season in lackluster fashion as the team has not won any games, and has not scored a single goal, in three outings so far.

New head coach Alberto Zaccheroni's side was crushed by defending champions Guangzhou Evergrande, 0-3, at their own home field of Worker's Stadium last Saturday to go on a two-game losing slide, via Xinhuanet.

With the loss, they had their worst opening to a season in a long while and are now second to the last place in the league table.

The predicted result is a close 2-1 victory for Hangzhou Greentown. The Imperial Guards score their first goal of the season but they fall to their third straight defeat.
