Struggling K League Classic squad Pohang Steelers (1-2-1, 4 points) and reeling AFC Champions League winners Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao FC (0-2-2, 2 points) meet each other in a battle of Group H's bottom dwellers at the Pohang Steel Yard in South Korea on April 19th, Tuesday.

The Steelers and Southern China Tigers met in a 0-0 draw on Feb. 24th during the opening game of the 2016 AFC Champions League group stage competitions held at the Tianhe Stadium in China. This match will be their second and last meeting in the group stage of the said tournament.

Pohang is coming off a 0-1 loss to A-League team Sydney FC at the Sydney Football Stadium in Australia on April 5th, as reported by Goal.

Midfielder Milos Ninkovic scored the winning goal for the Australians at the 51st minute as both teams were held goalless in the first half of play due to each one's stingy defenses.

Manager Choi Jin-cheul's boys had a difficult time keeping possession all throughout the match because of the Sky Blues' aggressive attacks and so they weren't able to respond with anything as they succumbed to the shutout.

Meanwhile, the five-time Chinese Super League champions and defending AFC Champions League titlists are in danger of getting eliminated in this year's edition of the tournament as they have still not registered any wins after four rounds in the competition.

If they fail to win this game against Pohang, then it is highly likely that Guangzhou will not be able to successfully defend their title this year.

Evergrande was turned back by Japan's Urawa Red Diamonds, 0-1, during the previous matchday at the Saitama Stadium 2002, as per the Japan Times.

Forward Yuki Muto netted the lone goal at the 52nd minute to dramatically decrease the chances of Luiz Felipe Scolari's side of repeating as champions this year.

The predicted result is a tough 1-0 victory for Guangzhou Evergrande.
