Cara Delevingne, who plays the Enchantress in the upcoming 'Suicide Squad' film, admitted that she prepared for her role by stripping naked in the forest and howling at the moon.

During an interview, Delevingne admitted to the bizarre lengths she had to go through to prepare for her role as Dr. June Moone a.k.a. the Enchantress in David Ayer's upcoming superhero film. She revealed that she met with the director at a London Hotel where he showed her photographs of "powerful evil women" as well as talked to her about "addiction and mental illness."

The fashion model-turned-actress then met with the director again at his Los Angeles home to continue the audition by reading a scene from 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?' according to Entertainment Weekly. Delevingne acted in a theatrical adaptation of the work when she was 17 years old.

"There still wasn't a script, but David asked me to go and try and find a forest and, if it was a full moon, get naked and walk through the woods with my feet in the mud, which I did. There wasn't a full moon, but I howled like a wolf. It would have been really funny if someone had seen me," she said.

The 23-year-old English beauty is set to play the Enchantress, an evil and feral sorceress whose powers attract the attention of Amanda Waller. She is a powerful yet mentally unstable supervillain depicted in the original comic books as an anti-hero.

Delevingne is a popular fashion model who won the "Model of the Year" award at the British Fashion Awards back in 2012. She went on to star in several full-feature films including Jake Schreier's comedy-drama film 'Paper Towns.' She is currently filming the science-fiction film 'Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets' directed by Luc Besson.

Delevingne will be joined by stars Margot Robbie, Will Smith, Jared Leto and Jai Courtney as Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Joker and Captain Boomerang respectively in 'Suicide Squad.'

'Suicide Squad' is an action film written and directed by David Ayer and based on the characters in the original DC comic books. It tells the story of imprisoned supervillains recruited by a secret government agency to fight crime in exchange for pardon. It is scheduled to be released on August 5, 2016.
