Christina Grimmie looked bubbly and happy shortly before she was shot to death in Orlando, a witness has revealed.

It seemed like it was just another night for Grimmie and she is said to have even performed "a very upbeat song," "energetic like always."

The Voice singer and YouTube sensation was opening a concert for the pop-rock group Before You Exit at Orlando's Plaza Live Theater. Members of band were reportedly signing autographs for the fans when all of a sudden gunfire was heard.

"People that I was with-acquaintances with-they saw [the shooter]," Emmet revealed.

The man, who killed Grimmie, has been identified as Kevil James Loibl. According to Orlando police, the shooter came from St. Petersburg, another Florida city and traveled all the way to the concert just to attack her.

The 27-year-old came to the concert with two handguns, loaded magazines and a knife. It is apparent that he did not know Grimmie. It is unclear what motivated the killer.

Loibl eventually shot himself after committing the crime.

Grimmie joined season six of The Voice in 2014. All the four coaches immediately fell for her unique vocals. Grimmie chose Adam Levine as her coach. She landed third place in the finals.

The Voice immediately took to social media to express grief over the murder of Grimmie: "We are heartbroken. @TheRealGrimmie is a loved member of our family.  Our thoughts are with her and her family.  #PrayForChristina."

Adam Levine was also shocked. He posted an old photo of himself with Christina. "I'm sad, shocked and confused," the caption said. "We love you so much Grimmie. We are all praying hard that you can pull through this...this just isn't fair."
