Meizu MX6 Smartphone is now Available in China for $299

Meizu MX6 to Cost 2000 Yuan ($300), Rumoured to Launch on July 19

Chinese smartphone maker Meizu has officially unveiled the Meizu MX6 smartphone at an event in Beijing. The device will go on sale in the Chinese market on July 30 for $299.

The Meizu MX6 features a 7.25mm thin metal body with a 5.5-inch LCD screen that comes with a resolution of 1,080 x 1,920 pixels (Full HD).

The device comes with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out of the box along with the latest Flyme 5.2 user interface.

Under the hood, the new phone is equipped with a MediaTek Helio X20 chipset with a deca-core processor, Mali-T880MP4 graphics processing unit, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in memory storage and a 3,060 mAh battery with 24W fast charging capability.

In terms of the camera, the Meizu MX6 comes with a rear-facing 12 megapixel Sony IMX 386 sensor with f/2.0 lens, phase detection, and dual-tone flash. The MX6 is the first device to come with this type sensor and, according to Meizu, the camera speed quality is comparable to that of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

The Meizu MX6 is available in Silver, Gray and Gold colors. Other specs of the device include a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter, support for dual-SIM functionality, and LTE Cat.6 connectivity, according to GSM Arena.

In addition to the new smartphone, Meizu will also be offering the Loop Jacket flip case accessory, which allows users to easily view notifications along with a special LifeMe Bluetooth speaker. The Meizu Loop Jacket comes with a price tag of around $15, while the LifeMe Bluetooth speaker costs $60.
