'Mortal Kombat X': New DLC Announced for 2016; Ed Boon Teases About New Characters Joining GamePlay

(Photo : Reuters) New game characters in the Kombat Pack 2 DLC pack for Mortal Kombat X will be unveiled at the Game Awards 2015 in LA later this week.

A new DLC pack for "Mortal Kombat X" has been announced, which is expected to be released by 2016.

On the other hand, the list of characters for "Mortal Kombat X" seems to get bigger and bigger. Ed Boon is popular about teasing the game's future aspects through his witty tweets on Twitter. He recently tweeted about the possible addition of new characters to this list, as per The Polygon.

He also posted a picture of these characters but they are kind of hidden in a haze, making it hard to recognize their faces. He captioned this picture with "Tomorrow?," making it evident that these characters might be the new addition to the game play.

The exact list of new characters are not known as Boon intends that to be a surprise to the fans. It is no doubt that the players are excited about the possibility about new excitement levels in the upcoming DLC.

This picture also suggests that the fighting arena will be a historic one. The franchise already contains a number of non-playable characters like Bo Rai Cho, Baraka, Fujin, Frost, and Rain, amongst others, The Design Trend reported. Boon also teased about this game being available for the current generation devices and mobile phones.

Warner Bros, in association with the game developer NetherRealm and also the Interactive, released the official four characters who will be an add on to the game play for "Mortal Kombat X."

Jason Vorhees, Tremor, Tanya, and Predator will total up the game's roster to 29 playable characters. The character of Tanya reportedly go rife with a few glitches which made her character more strong and powerful than the other playable characters. Nether Realm is working currently to fix this glitch in the game.

"Mortal Kombat X" was released in April this year, and is currently available for Play Station 4, Xbox One, PC and also the mobile devices; however, the game is officially cancelled for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
