Unannounced Lenovo Smartphone With Model Number P2a42 Certified by Bluetooth SIG

Earlier this week, an unannounced Lenovo smartphone was certified by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG). This mysterious Lenovo device carries the model number P2a42.

The unannounced Lenovo P2a42 smartphone would feature a 5.5-inch LCD screen. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor- similar to the processor of some mid-range devices on the market including the ZTE Axon Max 2 and Xiaomi Redmi 4.

The Bluetooth SIG listing revealed that the unannounced Lenovo P2a42 smartphone sports a 5-megapixel front facing selfie camera and a13-megapixel rear facing snapper. It is unclear when the device would be rolled out, what it looks like, and its price.

Meanwhile, Lenovo recently announced that its latest two flagship devices - the Lenovo Moto Z and Moto Z Play smartphones - would arrive in the United States this October. Both devices would be exclusively available via Wireless Verizon.

The Lenovo Moto Z and Moto Z Play both feature a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with a 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The Moto Z smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor along with 4GB of RAM onboard, while the Moto Z Play comes with Snapdragon 625 paired with 3GB RAM.

The Lenovo Moto Z is fueled by a non-removable Li-Ion 2600 mAh capacity battery inside, while the Moto Z Play comes with a non-removable Li-Ion 3510mAh battery. Both smartphones run on the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system out of the box.
