The game starts at 7:35 p.m. UTC+8. It can be viewed live online thru FuboTV.

Shanghai SIPG had been winless in three of their last four matches as the team had been hit by the injury bug, particularly their current imports Hulk (thigh) and Dario Conca (knee) while Ivorian forward Jean Evrard Kouassi has also been unavailable for unknown reasons.

The recent departure of Ghanaian striker Asamoah Gyan on loan to UAE Pro League club Al-Ahli Dubai FC did not help the club at all as they are now short on reinforcements going up against Guoan in this match with only Brazilian striker Elkeson and South Korean defender Kim Ju-young as their foreign players.

The Red Eagles are coming off a huge 4-1 win over Shijiazhuang Ever Bright on Aug. 19 also at the Shanghai Stadium to snap their three-game winless run, Yahoo Sports reported.

Elkeson led head coach Sven-Göran Eriksson's side with a goal and two assists while defender Fu Huan and winger Wu Lei contributed a goal each. Conca was still around at that time and also scored a goal to complete the team's four-goal haul.

Meanwhile, Beijing suffered its third straight winless performance by dropping a 1-2 decision to second-running squad Jiangsu Suning at the Nanjing Olympic Sports Centre on Aug. 21, as per Xinhuanet.

Turkish striker Burak Yilmaz broke the game's deadlock at the 10th minute but Jiangsu came back with two straight goals courtesy of a double from newly-signed Colombian striker Roger Martinez in the first half injury time and at the 76th minute.
