Lenovo’s Moto Z and Moto Z Play Smartphones Officially Launches in China Along With Four Moto Mods

Chinese smartphone and computer maker Lenovo has officially launched its latest flagship devices in the Moto series - the Moto Z and Moto Z Play smartphones - in China along with four Moto mods. The Moto Z costs around 3999 Yuan (approximately $599), the Moto Z Play is priced at 3299 Yuan (around $494).

The Moto Z smartphone was initially unveiled in June at Lenovo's Tech World event in San Francisco. The Moto Z features a 5.5-inch display screen that supports 2K pixels resolution. The device is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 processor paired with the Adreno 530 GPU. It has 4GB of RAM and comes with a built-in 64GB internal memory storage, which can be expanded up to 2TB via a microSD card slot.

The Moto Z sports a 13-megapixels rear camera with f/1.8, laser focus, and OIS. On the front is a 5-megapixel front facing shooter for selfies. It is fueled by a 2600mAh capacity battery, which supports Motorola's TurboPower fast charge technology.

The Moto Z Play features a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display screen. It is equipped with 3GB of RAM onboard and 64GB native internal memory storage, which can be expanded up to 2TB via a microSD card slot. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor and has a 3510mAh capacity battery inside.

On the camera side, the Moto Z Play sports a 16-megapixel rear facing shooter with laser focus and PDAF. It comes with a 5-megapixel front facing camera. Interestingly, the device also features NFC for fingerprint scanner and mobile payments purposes.

Aside from the announcement of these two devices, Lenovo also unveiled four Moto mods intended for these smartphones. The four Moto mods include the JBL speaker mod, a projector mod, battery mods, and Hasselblad's True Zoom camera mod.
