Chinese Basketball Association (CBA)club Qingdao Double Star Eagles has reportedly agreed to terms to hire the services of the American power forward Jerrelle Benimon to play for the team.

According to Asia-Basket, the 25-year-old native of Warrenton, Virginia initially played in the CBA for the team of Foshan Long Lions in the 2015-16 season of the league. In his 37 official matches with the Long Lions, Belimon registered impressive averages of 25.0 points, 11.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.2 blocked shots in 38.3 minutes of playing time per outing.

He had a decent 52.8 percent shooting accuracy from the field and converted free throws with a 71.8 percent accuracy during his stint with the club. However, Foshan was not able to enter the league's final eight and finished their campaign as the worst performing CBA team, winning just six of their 38 games in the regular season.

Belimon spent his first two collegiate seasons playing for the Georgetown University from 2009 to 2011. He decided to transfer to the Towson University Tigers after finishing his sophomore year with the Hoyas, where he had limited playing time.

While with the Tigers, Belimon was named back-to-back Colonial Athletic Association's Player of the Year in 2013 and 2014. He posted impressive stats in his final season with Towson averaging 18.7 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 1.2 blocked shots in 36.3 minutes on the hard wood, according to RealGM.

Belimon went undrafted in the 2014 NBA Draft. He played in the Developmental League fitting in for the Idaho Stampede and was named to the Futures All-Star team for the 2015 NBA D-League All-Star Game in February last year.

Qingdao finished in 14th place last season, having won 16 of their 38 official games. The team is currently under the guidance of head coach Gong Xiaobin.
