Chinese online shopping website GOME has announced that the latest version of the Xiaomi Mi 5 - the Xiaomi Mi 5 extreme version - is now available on its official website at $298.50 (approximately 1992.35 Yuan / Rs. 19,968.29).

The extreme version of the Xiaomi Mi 5 is currently listed on GOME's official website. What makes this version unique is that the processing power was enhaced by 19 percent compared to the previous model. The processing power is now clocked at a speed of 2.15GHz. In addition, the GPU was powered up by 22 percent.

The specifications of the latest Xiaomi Mi 5 extreme version are similar to the original model. It has a 5.15-inch IPS FHD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display screen. The device is powered by Snapdragon 820 processor paired with 3GB of RAM onboard. The device comes in three models - 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB native internal storage.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 extreme version runs on Android 6.0 operating system out of the box coupled with Xiaomi's customized user interface. It is fueled by a 3,000mAh capacity battery inside. On the camera side, the device sports 16-megapixels main camera and a 4-megapixels front-facing shooter. Other feature the device offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, 4G LTE, Fingerprint scanner, Dual SIM slots, and USB Type-C port w/ Quick Charge 3.0.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 Extreme Version smartphone is available in four colors - black, gold, white, and purple. The black model of the device is currently priced at $306 (around 2042.41 Yuan / Rs. 20,470.01).
